Intellectual property

All of the site's contents - photographs, texts and visual identity - as well as the brands La Réserve de Val, Épicerie du Dragon and Bánh Mì Rave are the exclusive property of Valentin Grand. Any reproduction, representation or reuse, in whole or in part, without prior written authorisation is prohibited.

This page describes how personal data is processed, in accordance with the new Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP).

Data controller

Valentin Grand (La Réserve de Val), contact@lareservedeval.ch, is the controller for the data collected through this site.

Data collected & purposes

• Contact form, name, e-mail, message: to answer the request.
• Meals waiting list, e-mail, village: to announce the start of the delivery rounds.
• Newsletter, e-mail: to send news (explicit consent).

The legal basis for processing is the consent of the person concerned. Data is kept for as long as needed for the purpose concerned, then deleted, on request, or after prolonged inactivity.

Processors & location

Several providers act as processors: Infomaniak (site hosting, e-mail and newsletter, data in Switzerland; newsletter delivery relies on Amazon SES, in the United States), Shopify (online shop and order processing, once the shop opens), Google Ireland (audience measurement, if you accept it) and Cloudflare (anti-spam protection of the forms). Some of these services may process data outside Switzerland, notably in the United States, with appropriate contractual safeguards. No data is sold or passed on to third parties for commercial purposes.

Your rights

Any person concerned has the right to access, rectify, delete and object to the processing of their data, as well as the right to unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time. To exercise these rights, simply write to contact@lareservedeval.ch.

Cookies & trackers

On your first visit, a banner lets you accept or decline audience-measurement cookies. No tracker is activated without your consent, and you can change your choice at any time.

• Technical cookies (strictly necessary), always active, they only serve the proper functioning of the site.
• Audience measurement, Google Analytics, if you accept it, the site uses Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd) to understand its traffic. It sets cookies (_ga…) and transmits data to Google, including in the United States; the IP address is anonymised. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.
• Form security, Cloudflare Turnstile, to block automated submissions, the forms rely on Turnstile (Cloudflare Inc., United States), which checks invisibly that you are human. No advertising cookies, no profiling; the IP address is processed for the duration of the check, in accordance with the Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Addendum.
• Newsletter tracking, our mailings contain an invisible pixel and redirect links that show whether the message was opened and which links were clicked, so that the content can be adjusted. These statistics stay internal, are never sold, and unsubscribing puts an end to the tracking.

Scope

These terms apply to the sale of Épicerie du Dragon products (artisan sauces and condiments) through the online shop, as well as to the delivered-meals and private-chef services offered by La Réserve de Val.

Prices

Prices are stated in Swiss francs (CHF). La Réserve de Val is not subject to VAT (turnover below the legal threshold of CHF 100,000): prices are net, without VAT. Any delivery costs are shown before the order is confirmed.

Ordering & payment

Épicerie du Dragon products, ordering and payment take place online through the secure Shopify shop on lareservedeval.ch; a confirmation e-mail is sent after validation.

Delivered meals, the order is placed online, but payment is made directly on handover, on site, by card (terminal) or TWINT.

Delivery & pick-up

Pantry products are shipped by post. Meals are distributed along a fixed weekly round, at a meeting point defined for each village, or delivered to your door for a supplement; the day of the round in each village is announced in advance.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Swiss law. Place of jurisdiction: Fribourg, Switzerland.

Returns & exchanges

Swiss law does not provide a withdrawal period for distance purchases. For hygiene and food-safety reasons, Épicerie du Dragon products, perishable goods and prepared meals are neither taken back nor exchanged once handed over or shipped. This does not apply to defective products or an error on our part, addressed below.

Missed pick-up (meals)

Meals are paid on handover: if you are absent from a meeting point, no amount has been collected, so no refund comes into play. The meal, being perishable, is kept until the end of the round in the area, after which it can be neither offered again nor reassigned. An occasional slip has no consequence; in the event of repeated, unannounced absences, we reserve the right to refuse subsequent orders.

Refunds

In the event of a defective product or an error on our part, reported within 24 hours of receipt, a refund or replacement is offered. Refunds are made by the same means as the payment or, by mutual agreement, as a credit on a future order.
